Day 2
Day 2
07/07/2019
I woke up at 5:00am, but fell back asleep. Dr. Black came
and knocked on everyone’s tents at about 6:30am. I woke up changed, brushed my
teeth and got ready for breakfast. We had English muffins, scrambled eggs,
bacon and some hot cocoa by the camp fire. We also prepared our own lunch- sandwiches.
(We will be having these for two weeks every day for lunch- yay.) I may not be
having any sandwiches for the rest of year after this. It was a great morning.
My team had to wash the dishes, let’s just say that it was bad. After we got
done with breakfast we started to get into groups, we had our first tasks. We
were going to set up cameras and set bate (tuna/left over bacon) to see if we
can catch any wild life on camera. We left our camp site for about an hour or
so. Each team set up about three cameras. I choose a spot next to the river (Pretty
excited.) I think that the bate is going to attract a lot birds but I’m really
hoping we can catch bears. We did have a little trouble when setting the
cameras, but when we came back to the campsite we figured there was nothing
with the chips or cameras it was the camera where we were testing out the USB
chip. We started to get ready to come to camp chaparral and help the camp get
ready for the young youth that will be here camping.
